This reminds me of something you said in an episode of Rework (I think).

Back when we started the signal vs. noise blog, there was no internet metrics. So rather than writing something to get the numbers up, we would write when we had something to say.

It may not have been those exact words but it was along those lines.

I’m still trying to learn this lesson.

As for the stream of consciousness, I feel it ties back in closely with the quote.

It’s a real talent to be able to transcribe your thoughts in a way others understand, which is exactly what you’ve done here.
